AOC-AR22
Magnesium Fluoride AR Coating
Single layer MgF2 coating is applied to substrate materials having an index of refraction in the range of 1.45-1.85 within spectral range 200-1600nm.
Coating characteristics:
The extent of the reflectance reduction depends on the substrate refractive index.
For the typical crown glass with refractive index of 1.52 the reflectance is reduced from 4.2% to the minimum value of 1.3% and for the flint glass with refractive index of 1.85 the reflectance is reduced from 8.9% to the minimum value of 0.1%.
Environmental and durability:
The coating meets durability requirements of MIL-C-675C including severe abrasion as per Para 3.8.4 and MIL-PRF-13830B. -

The surface is protected with overcoat of Silicon Oxide to make the Aluminum coating suitable for industrial and military use.
The coating can be applied to variety of optical materials including Glass, Plastic and Heat sensitive substrates.

Average Reflectance: better than 90% in the range of 300nm to 700nm and from 1000nm to far IR and at Normal to 45 degrees angle of incidence.

The protected Silver coating has the highest reflectance in the visible and near IR spectrum of all metallic coatings.
Silver is very susceptible to environmental, so to prevent this, the surface is protected with proprietary designed multilayer coating.

Broad Band AR coating for the visible and IR range
This broad band, dielectric, AR coating designed to minimize reflectance over broad wavelength range 430-900nm and substrates with refraction index in the range 1.51-1.55.
